Mike Google Drive Backup is a private backup tool operated by Mike Lawrence for his own Google account. It uses rclone on his iMac to download copies of Google Drive files to an encrypted external drive.

The tool requests read-only access to file contents and metadata. It cannot change or delete files in Google Drive.

Uploaded files retain their existing formats. Supported Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are exported into locally usable formats. These exports do not preserve all Google collaboration features or revision history.

This tool is for personal use and is not offered as a public service.
